When you’ve been in business for as long as we have it’s not uncommon to be asked your secret for surviving over the years while so many others have come and gone.  The reason is neither secret nor complicated, and has very little to do with an ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound.  It is, however, about finding something you really love and joining together with like-minded and talented people who make it their priority to learn how your products and services best compliment the customers’ business and lifestyle.  Then it’s a matter of working hard to build a network of loyal customers who have come to expect quality and value in the products and services you provide.  This is the philosophy we adopted in 1982, and it is what NavShack.com lives by each and every day.

The marine electronics business is like few others.  I like to describe it as a highly diversified specialization business.  While that may seem contradictory in nature, I have yet to find two combinations of boat, owner, or electronics that are exactly the same.  While it is accurate to say that we sell and service marine electronics, our primary product is solutions.  Yes, we’ll gladly take your order and fill it, but we’re really in our element when presented with a problem or situation that requires our experience and training to formulate a solution.  Today’s marine electronics are very sophisticated and with proper installation and care will provide many years of trouble-free service.  Whether it’s a power cable for your old radio or a complete set of electronics for your new boat, NavShack will stay with you until the job is done.  Our technical staff is available to you or your installer right from the planning stage of an installation through the sea trial.

Our staff has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience that is readily available to our customers.  Years of experience in service and installation with both the commercial and recreational boating markets make us uniquely qualified in this fast paced and highly technical field.  We know what it means when an offshore service vessel operator tells us they need it yesterday.  Likewise, we understand that when a sport-fishing vessel gets that window of opportunity to head to their favorite spot, they need and expect their electronics to perform.

We recognize that experience, training, and quality products are critical elements of our business.  Additionally, we all know that with a high level of commitment, determination, common sense, and innovation, almost anything is possible.  That’s the difference between NavShack and other marine electronics vendors.  We want to partner with you and ensure your marine electronics does its part in making your boating experience safe, productive, and fun.  We welcome the challenge and are up to the task.

The entire concept of NavShack.com came from the perspective of the traditional marine electronics dealer.  Unfortunately, not all boaters have access to a qualified full service shop.  It was apparent that the need for a new and innovative source of marine electronics, information, and support existed.  We wanted to replicate that personal connection you get when you talk with someone face-to-face and close a deal with a handshake.  Take the time to peruse our site and I think you’ll find that NavShack is a mariner’s haven in the world of marine electronics.  Our Tech Support section is loaded with informative tips and articles on everything from troubleshooting to maintenance to operation.  The Frequently Asked Questions area offers a straightforward dialog dealing with many of the common, and some not so common, problems you may encounter.  In Marine Tools & Info you'll find industry news, radio frequency charts, and calculators for transducer beam width and radar range.  We also include instructions on how to register your EPIRB, obtain an MMSI number, and much more.  We encourage you to sign up for our newsletter and welcome your suggestions or inquiries.

NavShack is a family owned and operated company.  We take our business very seriously but like to have fun along the way.  If you need assistance in processing an order, locating a hard to find item, or if you’re just not sure who you should talk to, send an email to Britney at sales@navshack.com or give her a call at 979-233-0099.  She literally grew up in the marine electronics business and is the best there is at what she does.  Should you need technical information or assistance, she may refer you to her dad, Dave.  That’s me, and I’d enjoy the opportunity to chat or exchange emails with you regarding service issues, installation assistance, or just about anything else.  I can be reached at the same phone number or you can send an email to tech@navshack.com and put my name in the subject line.

We’re continually working to expand our products and services at NavShack.com.  While we are very selective about what products we offer our customers, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you can’t find what you’re looking for on our site.  We’ll either find it for you or do our best to direct you to another source for the item you need.  We’re glad you found us and hope you return often.
